Leupold Vx-r®

Sleek design with daylight-capable illumination; the Leupold VX®*R?. Patented 1-button design minimizes bulk, while allowing users to select between 8 intensity settings, including a low/high indicator. The readily available CR-2023 coin-cell battery produces remarkable runtimes, while the fiber optic light pipe eliminates the need for an eyepiece-based control module. Proprietary motion sensor automatically deactivates illumination after 5 minutes of inactivity, yet reactivates instantly as soon as any movement is detected. Leupold's legendary Index Matched Lens System? combines with edge-blackened lead free lenses for astonishing clarity and light transmission, while the extreme fast-focus eyepiece ensures optimal diopter adjustment in the field. The 30mm maintube and finger-click adjustments assure maximum adjustment precision, while the second generation waterproofing resists the effects of thermal shock much more efficiently than standard nitrogen. Waterproof, shockproof, and backed by the Leupold Full Lifetime Guarantee. Select models feature Custom Dial System (CDS) our exclusive CDS, which lets you tailor your scope settings to your specific ballistics and sigh in conditions.

Excellent Scope

By Eric R

from Fairhope, AL, United States

About Me

Comments:

I recently purchased this scope and I'm absolutely in love with it. I got caught up in the hipe in the past and bought a scope that cost three times as much as this one, however shooting them side by side I much rather shoot the Leupold and I haven't even received my CDS turret yet. I'm sure after this is added it will further surpass the other scope. I would love the chance to recoup my money from the previous purchase and buy thee Leupold scopes in its place. For shooting 800 yards witch is the very furthest I've ever shot you cannot compete with this scope anywhere close to the same price range. I love the product you offer, that it's made in America, lifetime warranty, and the people you have in place to deal with an average shooter like myself. Forever a fan, forever a customer. Great Clarity

By Rod HTA

from Boston, KY, United States

About Me

Comments:

I didn't want to give up my red dot scope but needed some magnification for these old eyes. Found the best of both worlds with this VX-R 3x9x40 Leupold scope. Very clear and lets plenty of light in. The red fire dot is adjustable for different lighting situations. This scope is clearly the right choice for me. Thought about saving some money and buying something cheaper, sure glad I went with the best.

Bad to the bone

By GTHTSUN

from 'Merica

About Me

Comments:

Have one of the VXR 2-7x33 with the No. 4 plex (not sure why this is no longer available...) on my AR in 6.8 and love it. Also have a 3-9x40 on a 22lr. These are great value scopes and a lot of fun. Killing beavers and other pests at night is super easy. Definitely need to bring back the Firedot4 though; this was the best AR option available, IMO. Keep up the good work Leupold.

great scope without turret locks

By mnt skinner

from Colorado, United States

About Me

Comments:

This is a really nice scope I have been running on my AR for almost 2 years now. It is super quality but has a few quirks. First one is the thickness of the reticle lines - which is really exactly how they should be for faster target acquisition. But many AR's are capable of better accuracy than these fat cross hairs allow as they cover smaller targets past 100 meters. My second concern is the only real one: the turrets have no locking ability and mine move a LOT. For a tactical scope, you really need to know that your zero has not shifted 6 inches left. "Gee, my windage is off - do I adjust left, ..... or right?" And there is no zero index on the turrets for counting revolutions. Other than this obstacle, the scope is lightweight and compact and functions as it should. I have the original battery still, and it seems to be going strong. The firedot is great and I often dial it down to minimum for more precision shooting. This is a scope that gets used and carried so i really appreciate the weight and quality. I will find my own way to fix those wandering turrets because everything else works great and we rarely find perfection.

By JRE Seales

About Me

Excellent Value

By Joe L

from Laguna, CA

About Me

Comments:

Love everything about this scope except one thing. The windage turret easily clicks out of zero in gun case, while sitting in vehicle rack, just taking it in and out of my car. Constantly have to look at the windage every time I deploy my rifle. I wish Leopold offered an option to change both turrets to a lift and click type turret. Aside from that, rugged and optically good.
